Change Your Password

Update your HeartLab password from account settings, login, or admin reset.

Change Your Password

This guide explains how to change or reset your HeartLab password.

Applies to

  • Users signing in with username and password authentication
If your organisation uses SAML or Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication, you may not see an option to change your password within HeartLab.

Change Password from Account Settings

If you can still sign in to HeartLab:

  1. Navigate to Settings → My Account → Security.
  2. Enter:
    • Your current password
    • Your new password
  3. Ensure the new password meets all displayed password requirements.
  4. Select Change Password.
Use a strong, unique password or passphrase that is not reused across other systems.

Reset Password from the Login Page

If you cannot remember your password:

  1. Navigate to the HeartLab login page.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Select Forgot password?
  4. Follow the instructions in the password reset email.
Password reset emails may take several minutes to arrive. Check your spam or junk folder if the email is not visible.

Administrator-Assisted Password Reset

If a user cannot reset their password using the above methods, an administrator can manually trigger a password reset email.

To do this:

  1. Navigate to Settings → Users & Roles → Users.
  2. Open the target user account.
  3. Scroll to the Account Setup section.
  4. Select:
    • Reset password

The user will receive an email containing a password reset link.

Additional Notes

Never share your password with another user.
Consider enabling Two-Step Verification (2FA) to improve account security.
