Configure automatic report delivery using trigger conditions and recipient rules.
Report Distributions
HeartLab can automatically distribute completed reports and studies to referring physicians, clinics, or external recipients immediately after report sign-off.
Automated distributions help:
- Reduce manual administrative work
- Ensure timely report delivery
- Improve communication workflows
- Eliminate the need for manual exporting or emailing

Configure Report Distributions
To create or edit a distribution:
- Select your username in the top-right corner.
- Navigate to Settings → Reporting → Distributions.
- Select Create Distribution.

- Enter a distribution name.
- Select the distribution type.
- Open the distribution to configure its rules and settings.

Configure Distribution Rules
Within the distribution settings, configure:
- Trigger conditions
- Report types
- Assignees
- Recipients
- Optional attachments
- Study sharing links
Examples of trigger conditions include:
- Final report signed
- Preliminary report approved
- Specific report templates
- Assigned users or locations
You can also configure whether:
- Attached PDFs are included
- Study links are included
Changes save automatically.
Automatic Distribution
Once configured, HeartLab automatically distributes reports whenever the configured trigger conditions are met.
Depending on configuration, recipients may receive:
- PDF reports
- Study links
- Attached files
- Additional study information
Additional Notes
Use targeted distribution rules to ensure the correct recipients receive only relevant reports.
Automated distributions are particularly useful for high-volume reporting environments and external referral workflows.
