HeartLab
Getting Started

Personal Preferences

Configure personal account settings and workflow preferences.

Personal Preferences

HeartLab allows users to customise aspects of their personal experience, including notifications, reporting workflows, and study viewing behaviour.

These settings only affect your own account and can be changed at any time.

Access Personal Preferences

  1. Navigate to Settings by clicking your username in the top-right corner.
  2. Configure the available settings as required.

Email Notifications

HeartLab can send email notifications when studies are assigned to you.

These notifications help users stay informed about new assignments without continuously monitoring the Study List.

To configure email notifications:

  1. Locate Send Email Notifications.
  2. Toggle the setting:
    • On to receive assignment notifications
    • Off to disable assignment notifications
Email notifications are particularly useful for users involved in shared reporting workflows or remote review environments.

Report Completion Action

HeartLab allows users to choose what happens after completing a report.

To configure report completion behaviour:

  1. Locate Report Completion Action.
  2. Select one of the following options:
    • Return to Study List
    • Stay in Current Study

When Return to Study List is selected, HeartLab returns you to the Study List after you approve a preliminary report, finalise a report, or approve a report amendment. This option is useful when working through multiple studies from a reporting worklist.

When Stay in Current Study is selected, HeartLab keeps the current study open after report completion.

Report Display Behaviour

HeartLab allows you to choose how reports are displayed when opening a study.

To configure report display behaviour:

  1. Locate Report Display Behaviour.
  2. Select one of the following options:
    • Report Closed
    • Report Open
    • Report Open in Secondary Window

When Report Closed is selected, opening a study does not automatically display its report.

When Report Open is selected, opening a study automatically opens the report pane.

When Report Open in Secondary Window is selected, opening a study automatically opens the report in a secondary browser window.

This setting only applies to studies that contain a report. If there is no report, the selected preference is not applied.

Additional Notes

Users reporting large volumes of studies may find Return to Study List helps streamline reporting workflows.
Personal preference settings are saved to your user profile and are available whenever you sign in to HeartLab, including from different browsers or devices. These settings do not affect other users within your organisation.
